The purpose of the role is to drive growth and oversee the development and maintenance of effective key stakeholder relationships.

He/she will also ensure business growth through directing and managing business development activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct opportunity assessment for identified opportunities in the fresh produce market and develop recommendation on pursuit or cancellation based on financial attractiveness, risk and fit of customer requirements
  • Develop the fresh produce markets for new and existing customers.
  • Responsible for providing business direction into product developments including liaisons with production department to ensure that customer requirements are met with regards to packaging, specifications and delivery schedules.
  • Collect customer feedback after opportunity and conduct internal Post-Opportunity Review
  • Continuously review business potential and identify potential business opportunities
  • Develop in-depth market understanding and use this knowledge to support new product development
  • Develop and manage the full supply chain including logistics
  • Provide leadership to the fresh produce supply chain department so as to deliver the required products
  • Identify critical investment needs required to grow the business.
  • Responsible for optimal use of all resources as well as deliver results as per agreed budgets.
  • Overall management of the Pack house and Operational Issues arising

Education and Qualifications

  • A graduate from a recognized university preferably with a bias in Agricultural business management
  • Knowledge and experience in fresh produce operations and marketing is a key ,must possess a clear understanding of the dynamics of the Fresh Produce Market (both domestic & export)
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role at a senior management level
  • Highly developed team working, communication and interpersonal skills
