Civil Engineering Construction Company Jobs in Kenya

A large and reputable Civil Engineering Construction company in Kenya with diverse projects is looking for skilled and competent persons to fill the following positions in their upcoming projects:

Site Manager / Site Agent
You would be in charge of individual FAST TRACK Projects and responsible for Project Completion within specified parameters of quality, cost and time. You should have experience in Advanced Construction techniques, high quality finishes and with good Techno-commercial acumen. Experienced in administration and execution of FIDIC
contracts a must.

First class Civil Engineering degree; below 45 years of age; with 5 to 10 years specific experience in civil engineering construction with an International Company as client.

Site Engineer
You would be required to handle all civil construction and site management activities.

Responsibilities would include overall site supervision against planned construction schedules, labour handling, inspection and quality control, Site safety and Administration.

Co-ordination with other contractors and engineers to meet construction schedules.

Proficiency in checking, verification & approval of contractor bills is desirable.

Civil Engineering degree from a reputable University; 3-7 years relevant experience on a large site of at least 350 workers; Safety training will be an added advantage.

Site Quantity Surveyors
You should be able to read drawings, specifications, identifying items of works and taking off quantities. Be able to identify contract variations, prepare extra works claims, procure sub-contracts both domestic and external, prepare monthly and final bills, computerized valuations. Should be conversant with applicable BS codes, schedule of rates, study & interpret tenders/contracts.

BSc / Diploma Quantity Surveying with 3-5 years relevant experience and having knowledge of billing, estimation and construction. Must have worked on projects in excess of 500million.

Quality Control
You should be able to implement Company’s Quality Plan on site, check the construction materials, report on rejected material, ensure quality of construction during execution.

Also be able to maintain records and registers. Liaise with client’s engineer and Quality plan.

BSc Civil Engineering with 3-7 years relevant experience on a complex project with International Client.

Site Out Surveyor
You will be responsible for the correct and exact planning of the construction’s foundation position and precisely marking out the location of certain components e.g. walls, corners, piers, internal roads, etc. must be able to maintain records of all records in both written and digital form.

BSc or Diploma in Surveying with at least 5 years experience on a complex project.

Safety Officers
You should have been a Site Safety Officer in a large Civil construction company with at least 500 workers on a single site. You should be able to implement and train the workforce on the Company’s and project specific Health and Safety Plan. Must be able to maintain site

Housekeeping Department and to keep the site organized.

Diploma in Industrial Safety with 4 years relevant experience.

Section Supervisors
You must be able to read and interpret blue-print drawings in conjunction with BoQ and specification of R.C.C and ensure productivity as per the Works Schedule and Site Engineer’s requirement. Must be 

knowledgeable in the complete work sequence of civil and building works.

Ensure quality of all work under his supervision.

Diploma in Building or Civil with 4-6 years relevant experience in a reputable company.

You will be in charge of an area on site under the guidance of Section Supervisor and will be responsible for a group of workers. You will oversee general work on site and report back to your Section Supervisor. 

You will ensure Site Safety requirements are adhered to by the workers under your control.

Diploma / Certificate in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years relevant experience.

Site Personnel & Admin Officer
You will manage routine Personnel & Administration functions, all Statutory compliances, wages and Salary Administration, daily attendance and record keeping. Maintain records and documents and assist the 

Site Manager and Engineer.
Diploma / Certificate in Personnel Management with at least 3 years working experience in Administration.
